Our Newsletter CycleInk is published quarterly and is mailed to subscribers before being published here. It is available by subscription as well as being hosted here.
We organise gentle to hard-riding touring cycling. If you are not a member, you may ride with us a few times, but then we will expect that you join the CTC through our National Office. We have different riding groups who go out on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Each group has a different style. Choose the group that suits you best.
PHSG Cycle group: Rides for the Poole Heart Support Group to aid the health of people with heart problems. About 15 to 20 mile rides. Run by CTC members. All CTC members are welcome.
Saturday 60s: Sometimes brisk 30 miles or so to coffee, returning early afternoon to complete 60 to 65 miles
Wednesday Wanderers: A CTC West Dorset Group that some of our people join up with
Gentle country-lore based.
Sunday Potterers: Traditional easy riding group.
Thursday Potterers: Our original mid-weekers. Now restored to their original “Pottering”.
Dorset Dawdlers: Slower than the 'Potterers' and more scenery based.
Thursday Rouleurs: There are two groups of the Rouleurs, Moderate to long rides.
Saturday Wayfarers Rides: This ride to Burley happens every Saturday and is completely informal. There is no leader and no back up, but generally an experienced cyclist somewhere around. The route is designed for beginners but joined in by all abilities. Start 08:45 at Waitrose Supermarket, Christchurch . Or just make your own way to the New Forest Tea Rooms, Burley for 10:00
Sunday Rouleurs: New harder-riding Sunday Group formed in 2010 doing 70-90 miles usually.
Sunday Inters: Our original happy-go-lucky bunch.
Saturday Bun Runs: Shawn Shaw’s Monthly Saturday Group.
